One shot of relief

Last week I went for my first prenatal check up.

Making the familiar drive to the hospital again, I was full of anticipation.

Would I hear a heart beat?

Would I discover anything amiss?

I prayed all the way.

I came out of there relieved and oh so thankful. 10 weeks exactly with all signs looking normal.

I even saw a nose, a hand and a wee foot sticking up.

IMG_4152As the doctor interviewed me on the history of my past pregnancies and deliveries, I was reminded that not all women have it as easy as I have had. No allergies, no complications and 3 natural births (although Puppy had to be vacuum assisted).

Past pregnancies aside, every pregnant woman worries a little about the health of her baby.

What kind of concerns did you have when you were pregnant?

Congrats on your pregnancy…wow a 4th! Yes, it’s truly a blessing to have a smooth and relatively worry-free pregnancy…although knowing us mums we will surely find something to worry about. Oh well, all in His good hands. 🙂

Thank you, June. And yes, with all the possibilities that could worry us it’s such a feeling of freedom to know that we can trust Him in all things.
