Fighting viral

It’s been 3 exhausting weeks, fighting a viral infection here at home.

It all started with a late late night at a long-drawn extended family reunion at a Happy 99 Year Old Birthday, where the Bunnies were plied with numerous sweets by well-meaning relatives.

They caught it first.

Then me, 2 weeks ago. Razor blades in my throat.

And then Sweet Man, 3 days ago.

We have been working through lots of water, lemons, garlic and flaxseed. Sleeping whenever possible has been helping.

I thought we were getting better, but we’re not out of the woods yet. 9 month old Piglet started coughing 2 days ago. More night-wakings for me. And here I am, stopping by my blog for a quick post after another night-waking, and coming downstairs at 3.30am for paracetamol.

I try to avoid medications because they transfer through breastmilk, and I haven’t taken paracetamol in 3 years. So you can imagine the razors.

As far as possible, we don’t want to go down the antibiotic road.

Pray for us, please?

Where are we at? Just keeping our heads above water with homeschooling, home loving, and house chores.

Sending you my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery. My family had a bout of viral infection last month too. I’ve experienced the razors – I was afraid to even swallow my own saliva.
    Miss you.

Thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery for the whole family. It really sucks when the bug goes round (seemingly endlessly)! Take good care.

Thanks so much, Mei. We’re slowly on the mend. I just have to try to avoid the kids coughing in my face. Pretty hard, that one!
